According to Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, age discrimination against women in Bollywood only exists on social media and not in real life. So says the 41-year-old actress in a recent interview.
“It is a great topic to discuss. And it is talked about all the time. This topic is discussed, articles are written about it and debates are held. But in reality, many women have regular jobs. If you have talent, you get a job. If you look good, you get a job. If you are yourself, you get a job.”
“There are a lot of women who do a great job and play different characters. And today age is just a number. You are as old as you look,” she adds.
Working during pregnancy should not be a problem either. “I kept working even during my pregnancies. Of course there were people who had problems with that, but I didn’t work with it either. Even when she was five and a half months pregnant, she was working with Aamir. Alia is still pregnant and works and works. So it’s up to the person to break the boundaries and accept the challenge,” says Kareena.
