Dharma Productions recently shared an apology on its official Instagram page. The prominent Bollywood production house, known for numerous hit films, issued the statement on Friday.
The apology follows a trending social media practice where entities “apologize” for their positive contributions. This allows them to subtly highlight their impact on audiences.
Dharma Productions’ post read, “We apologize to you. Sorry for making you cry.” The statement continued by taking responsibility for elevating romance standards and teaching that “love is friendship.”
The production house also claimed credit for suggesting that “piano music suddenly starts playing in the air” and for showing men “how beautiful it is to wear a sherwani.” They concluded the apology by stating, “we had no other way to do this.”
The move highlights how Dharma Productions has attempted to bring specific changes into the lives of Bollywood fans through its cinematic works.
