Karan Johar, the famous filmmaker, recently shared some strong opinions on social media. He used his Instagram story to speak his mind. He wants certain things said in podcasts about the film industry to stop.
Karan Johar Calls Out Disrespectful Talk
Johar often talks about his films and life on social media. This time, he was clearly upset with podcasters. He said he has a lot of respect for “trustworthy, respected people in the media.” But he pointed out a problem with some podcasts. He believes they invite guests who have “nothing to lose.” He even joked that these guests haven’t been asked to appear anywhere “since World War II.” According to Johar, these guests “spew venom.” They make “extremely derogatory remarks” about the “hardworking and veteran individuals” in the film industry.
Demanding a Stop to Insensitive Content
Johar also called out psychologists and astrologers. He said they are making “terrible and scary revelations” about the “deaths of film industry people.” He finds this very insensitive. He questioned if such content is truly “freedom of speech.” Or is it just “clickbait to get more followers?” Johar’s message was clear: “This should all stop.” He did not mention any specific podcaster by name in his post.
A Twist of Irony: Koffee With Karan
It’s an interesting point coming from Johar. He is scolding podcasters for discussing industry gossip. Yet, he himself hosted the popular talk show ‘Koffee With Karan.’ On his own show, he often shared “spicy gossip” about Bollywood relationships. He also asked celebrities some “strange questions.” Audiences really loved that show. Besides his opinions, Karan Johar is still busy as a producer. His production house, Dharma Productions, is currently working on several films. One film he is producing is called “Tu Meri Main Tera…”
