Filmmaker Karan Johar celebrated the 27th anniversary of his directorial debut, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” which originally premiered on October 16, 1998. He marked the occasion by sharing a series of nostalgic behind-the-scenes photographs on his social media.
Johar’s post featured memorable moments from the film’s set, reminding fans of the iconic friendship and love triangle between the characters Anjali, Rahul, and Tina. The photos included principal cast members Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji.
Other notable personalities seen in the throwback images were Johar himself, choreographer Farah Khan, and actors Archana Puran Singh and Anupam Kher. Johar’s post was set to the film’s popular track, “Tum Paas Aaye.”
In his caption, Johar reflected on the production, stating that the film’s set was “full of love and fun.” He extended his gratitude to the audience for their continued affection, emphasizing that their love “means everything” to him and his production house, Dharma Movies.
“Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” was produced by Yash Johar and released during Diwali. The romantic comedy-drama tells the story of college friends Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), Anjali (Kajol), and Tina (Rani Mukerji) caught in a love triangle. Years later, Rahul’s daughter embarks on a mission to reunite him with his former friend.
Beyond his debut, Karan Johar has directed numerous successful films, including “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,” “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna,” “My Name Is Khan,” and “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.” He has also produced a wide array of acclaimed movies, such as “Raazi,” “Shershaah,” “Dear Zindagi,” and “Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva.”
