The Netflix original film ‘Nadaaniyan’ was released earlier this month, marking the acting debut of Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, alongside Khushi Kapoor, sister of Janhvi Kapoor. However, the movie received scathing reviews, with critics panning its weak storyline and the acting performances of the two star kids. Now, Karan Johar has shared his thoughts on the matter.
Karan Johar attended the trailer launch event for his upcoming movie ‘Akaal’ on Tuesday, which stars Gippy Grewal in the lead role. During the event, the media asked him about ‘Nadaaniyan’, which has been receiving negative reviews. It’s worth noting that ‘Nadaaniyan’ was produced under Karan’s production house, Dharmaatic. The film features Ibrahim and Khushi, along with a talented ensemble cast, including Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty, Jugal Hansraj, Dia Mirza, Meezaan Jafri, and Archana Puran Singh.

Karan’s Response
When asked about the criticism surrounding ‘Nadaaniyan’, Karan Johar replied, “I’d just like to say that there’s an old saying that people will always have something to say, and that’s just their job. Let’s not waste our time on unnecessary things and focus on moving forward.” It’s worth noting that ‘Nadaaniyan’ marked Ibrahim’s debut in the film industry, while Khushi had previously appeared in ‘The Archies’ and ‘Luv Ya Arya’ alongside Junaid Khan.
Sonu Sood’s Support
Earlier, Sonu Sood had also come out in support of the star kids, saying that no one is perfect in the beginning, and everyone learns from their experiences. He urged people to be kind and compassionate towards newcomers in the industry. His words of encouragement came as a beacon of hope for the young actors, who faced intense scrutiny and criticism for their performances in ‘Nadaaniyan’.
