Kapil Sharma: TV Made Me Star, But “No Hard Work”

Kapil Sharma has offered candid insights into the differences between working in television and film. The popular comedian-actor recently discussed the varying demands of each medium.

Sharma notably stated that television work contributed to him becoming “lazy.” He made these comments during an appearance on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast.

“On TV, it’s not like if you gain weight, you won’t get work,” Sharma explained. “Work is ongoing, you sit on a sofa, there’s not a speck of effort there.”

He contrasted this with his experience during his 2017 film ‘Firangi,’ when he was very fit. Sharma has now committed to maintaining his fitness, regardless of upcoming film projects.

The upcoming sequel features a cast including Sushant Singh, the late Asrani, Akhilendra Mishra, Vipin Sharma, Jamie Lever, Smita Jaykar, and Supriya Shukla. Anukul Goswami wrote and directed the film.
