Kapil Sharma is back with the third season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. The new season kicked off on June 21, and the first episode featured a grand entry by Salman Khan. He regaled the audience with funny stories and anecdotes from his life. Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh are back as judges, and Kapil Sharma wasted no time in pulling Sidhu’s leg.
As soon as Kapil took the stage, he welcomed the audience and Sidhu, saying the show had spent a fortune to bring Sidhu back. He quipped, “I want to thank Netflix for giving us so much money that we could afford to bring Sidhu paaji back on the show.” Kapil then jokingly asked Sidhu how it felt to return to the show after a long gap, and Sidhu replied, “Amritsar’s two people can’t be separated by Dehradun.”
Kapil continued to poke fun at Sidhu, saying Archana was worried about his return and had even consulted an astrologer to find a way to deal with him. Sidhu took the jokes in stride, laughing along with Kapil. When Kapil asked him about his six-month break, Sidhu joked that he was lucky it wasn’t a nine-month break. Kapil shot back, “At least I had a baby during my break, but you managed to have one even during a running match!” The light-hearted banter between Kapil and Sidhu set the tone for an entertaining season ahead.
