Cricket legend Kapil Dev says he was unimpressed when he saw the Bollywood movie 83 for the first time.
83 is in the news again! This time because the film can already be seen on Netflix and Disney + Hotstar. The film tells the story of the Indian national cricket team that managed to win the 1983 Cricket World Cup under the leadership of Kapil Dev.
Kapil Dev recently gave his reaction to the film in an interview. He admitted that the movie didn’t have an emotional impact on him the first time he saw it, but it did the second time.
“When I first saw the movie, I was like, OK, this is a movie, and I wasn’t that impressed. But when I saw it the second time I couldn’t stop crying. I’m a very emotional person anyway.”
“This is how we play. 98 percent of the film is accurate. There have been some adjustments with people and the environment, but the story is correct,” said Kapil Dev.
Kapil is proud of the entire team behind 83, from director Kabir Khan, Ranveer Singh to everyone involved in the film.
