Kangana Ranaut, a prominent Bollywood actress, has been making headlines with her film ‘Emergency’. Initially scheduled for release in September, the film faced controversy when the censor board advised cutting certain scenes. Kangana refused, leading to a delay in the release. After removing some scenes, the film is now set to release on January 17.
Kangana’s Career and Entry into Politics
Kangana began her film career at a young age, starring in notable films like ‘Fashion’ and ‘Queen’. This year, she won the Lok Sabha elections from the Mandi district as a BJP representative, defeating Vikram Aditya Singh from Congress.
Kangana’s Experience in Politics
Recently, Kangana participated in Agenda Aaj Tak 2024, where she shared her thoughts on politics in the session “Queen in Parliament”. She emphasized that, unlike in films, there is no script or director to guide her in politics. Kangana is learning and adapting to the new environment with time.
Following Party Guidelines
When asked if she goes off-script in politics, Kangana clarified that there is no scriptwriter or director. She acknowledged that her party, known for its nationalist stance, has guidelines to follow. While individuals have the freedom to express themselves, there are instances where they receive instructions to avoid certain topics, such as farmers’ issues, which are addressed by party spokespersons.
Kangana emphasized that, as a party, they invest themselves in the nation’s interest, adhering to their stand on various issues. While there may be some restrictions, it is not comparable to following a script or director’s guidance.
