Kangana Ranaut recently drew a comparison between her career trajectory and that of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, asserting her own path to success was considerably more challenging. The actress, known for her outspoken nature, made these remarks at an event in New Delhi last week.
Ranaut questioned her own rise to prominence, suggesting that few others from a rural background achieve such mainstream success. She highlighted Khan’s urban upbringing, noting his education in Delhi’s convent schools.
In contrast, Ranaut stated she hails from Bhambla, a small village in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district. She remarked that few would have heard of her native place.
Born on March 23, 1986, Ranaut’s parents included a school teacher and a businessman. She moved to Delhi against her family’s wishes to pursue a career in theater.
Her Bollywood debut came in 2006 with the film “Gangster.” Beyond acting, Ranaut has also taken on directing roles. She is presently active in the political sphere.
