Kamal Haasan just sent a birthday shoutout to his friend and director Mani Ratnam. The two are teaming up for their new movie, Thug Life. Haasan posted a heartfelt note on X, saying they’ve been through a lot together – as colleagues, family, and friends who dream big. He called Ratnam a source of strength and a mind he turns to when he needs advice.
Haasan shared a photo of them from the Thug Life set. He wrote, “From Nayakan to Thug Life, we’ve journeyed through time together. Your presence has been a source of strength – a mind I turn to in moments of wonder. A soul deeply connected to the language of cinema.”
Ratnam is turning 69, and another actor, Ravi Mohan, also wished him a happy birthday. Mohan shared an old photo from the set of their movie Ponniyin Selvan. He said it was an honor to work with Ratnam and wished him all the best for Thug Life and future projects.
Thug Life is an action thriller set to hit theaters soon. The film’s teaser, songs, and trailer have already generated a lot of buzz. The cast includes Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, and others.
