Kajol Reveals Why Her Kids Don’t Watch Her Movies, Shares Surprising Reason

Kajol is gearing up for the release of her new supernatural thriller, Maa, and is currently busy promoting it. In a recent interview, she opened up about her kids, Nysa and Yug Devgn, and shared a surprising insight into their viewing habits. It turns out that they aren’t too fond of watching their mother’s films.

Kajol’s Kids React to Her Emotional Scenes

Kajol revealed that her children appreciate her acting skills, but they tend to get spooked when she breaks down on screen. She recalled telling them, “This is just acting; it’s not real.” This seems to be the main reason they shy away from watching her movies. In an interview with Filmigeek, Kajol said, “My kids don’t like my films. They appreciate my acting, but when they see me crying on screen, they get frightened.”

Kajol has been trying to impart valuable life lessons to her kids, just like her mother, Tanuja, taught her. She emphasized the importance of self-acceptance, decision-making, and being true to oneself. In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Kajol shared that she learned many things from her mother and tried to pass those on to her children. She said, “I’ve taught them to think for themselves and make their own decisions. Most importantly, I’ve made them understand that they’re perfect just the way they are, and they don’t need to be like anyone else.”

Maa: The Upcoming Supernatural Thriller

Maa, starring Kajol as a mother fighting to save her daughter from evil forces, hits theaters on June 27, 2025. The film is produced by Ajay Devgn Films and directed by Vishal Furia. The movie promises to be a gripping supernatural drama that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
