Washington: US President Joe Biden has said that the US military heroes killed in the Kabul airport bombings will have to pay a heavy price.
Talking to reporters in Washington, he said that the lives we lost in the bombings at Kabul airport were given in the service of freedom.
“We know what forces are behind the Kabul bombings, but there is no evidence of Taliban or ISIS collusion,” he said.
“We will not forgive or forget, the enemy will have to pay a heavy price, we will retaliate strongly against the invaders in Afghanistan,” Biden said.
The US president said he had ordered the capture of the attackers’ leadership and the destruction of their assets, and ordered his commanders to draw up operational plans for the attack.
In response to a question, Biden said that the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan will continue, the withdrawal process will be completed by August 31.
He said that if the military leadership wanted, it would approve the deployment of more troops in Kabul and would do its best to evacuate those who remained after the withdrawal deadline.
The former president had agreed with the Taliban to complete the evacuation by May 1. If there were no talks, how could the evacuation take place before May 1.
