KABUL: A US drone strike has killed 10 people, including six children

A US drone strike in Kabul has confirmed that 10 members of the same family, including six children, were killed, while the United States had earlier claimed to have targeted ISIS suicide bombers in the attack.

Capt. Bill Urban of U.S. Central Command claimed that a U.S. drone strike saved Kabul Airport from a possible suicide attack, but a rocket fired at the house killed 10 members of the same family.

The dead included 2-year-old Samia and Ayat, 3-year-old Bin Yamin, 4-year-old Armin, Faisal and Farzad, Zameer, Naseer and Zemara. Several rockets were fired at Kabul in the early hours of the morning. Six rockets were fired from a vehicle near a private university in northern Kabul, which was stopped by the airfield defense system. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid called the US operation illegal. “Afghanistan is our country and we have the authority. If there is a threat of attacks, let us know and we will take action,” he said.

Zabihullah Mujahid said that the Americans cannot do anything on their own. We condemn this operation. The United States is not allowed to carry out such operations in Afghanistan. It should respect our freedom.
