Justin Bieber Injured in Onewheel Fall, Rehearses for Coachella Despite ‘Severe’ Rib Pain

Justin Bieber is recovering from a serious rib and hip injury sustained in a Onewheel electric scooter accident. The pop superstar revealed the extent of his pain during a four-hour Twitch livestream on November 13.

"My rib hurts so bad, bro," Bieber, 31, told viewers. He explained he fell sideways, landing directly on his hip.

The injury has made even simple actions like singing and laughing painful. Despite this, Bieber proceeded with rehearsals for his upcoming headlining performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Coachella 2026 is scheduled to run across two weekends, from April 10 to April 19 next year. Bieber was announced as a headliner in September, alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G.

Event organizers shared the news via social media. Tickets for the highly anticipated festival went on sale September 19.

Sabrina Carpenter, 26, will headline both Fridays. Her sets will feature performances from Teddy Swims, Ethel Cain, Katseye, Sexyy Red, CMAT, Dijon, and Blood Orange, among others.

Bieber is set to headline the Saturdays. He will be joined by The Strokes, Addison Rae, Sombr, and David Byrne.

Karol G, 34, will lead the Sunday performances. Other artists appearing on Sundays include Young Thug, Laufey, Iggy Pop, Clipse, Wet Leg, FKA Twigs, and Gigi Perez.

This marks Bieber’s first time headlining Coachella, though he has made guest appearances previously. His return to the stage follows a significant break since 2022.

Bieber had canceled remaining dates for his Justice World Tour due to health issues. These included Ramsay Hunt syndrome and Lyme disease.

His wife, Hailey Bieber, played a crucial role in encouraging his comeback. Sources close to the couple confirmed her influence in September.

One source told Us Weekly that Hailey was a "big influence" on his decision. "She encouraged him and is always on his side giving him encouragement."

The timing is right for his return, according to the source. Bieber released his albums Swag and Swag II in summer 2025.

"He believes this is the best way to share his new music with his fans," the source added. "He now has more control over his career."

Hailey reportedly assured him this was the optimal moment. A second source emphasized, "Hailey was definitely the main driver for Justin to participate in Coachella."

"She knows firsthand how much it means to his fans to see him return to the stage," the second source continued. "She told him, ‘You have to do it!’"

Bieber plans to showcase his Swag albums and perform many of his older hits. The goal is to celebrate his career and current artistic direction. He is already considering special guests for his performances.
