Justin Bieber Impersonator Dupes Vegas Nightclub, Kicked Out

Someone pretending to be Justin Bieber might be humming “Sorry” these days. This person managed to trick staff at a major Las Vegas hotel. For a short time, they actually believed he was the real Biebs.

The whole wild story unfolded on Saturday, August 16. DJ Gryffin, whose real name is Daniel Griffith, was spinning tunes at the XS Nightclub. This popular spot is inside the Wynn Las Vegas resort. Suddenly, word came that the “Never Say Never” singer himself was in the building.

Gryffin, who is 37, shared his experience on Instagram on Monday, August 19. He explained how it all began. “It started when Bustin Jeiber showed up at the club,” Gryffin wrote. “I was told he wanted to perform.” He mentioned that the dark club and loud music made it hard to tell what was really happening. “His ‘team’ said he wanted to play ‘Sorry’,” Gryffin added. “I didn’t know I’d soon be sorry myself.”

Turns out, the artist claiming to be Bieber, who is 31, was just an impersonator. The club quickly caught on to the deception. As soon as they realized the Grammy winner was not actually on their stage, they acted fast.

A representative for Wynn Las Vegas confirmed the mix-up to a prominent news channel, Us Weekly. “This Justin Bieber impersonator pulled off an elaborate trick,” the representative stated. “He and his advance team managed to get him stage access at XS.” They made it clear what happened next. “As soon as we knew it was a mistake, he was removed from the resort. He is now banned from coming back.”

According to Gryffin, the crowd went wild during the performance. “After 4 minutes and 27 seconds of what sounded like Justin Bieber, I got the worst news ever,” he said. He learned that the person on stage was not the real deal.

After Gryffin posted about his night, other famous DJs sent him messages of support.

“Dang, we should’ve stayed on that boat, lol,” Diplo joked in the comments. DJ Diesel, also known as NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, added his own funny take. “This happens to me all the time,” he wrote.

The nightclub hasn’t officially named the impersonator. However, Us Weekly was able to confirm his identity. Dylan Desclos was reportedly behind the whole stunt. Over that same weekend, Desclos was spotted at the Las Vegas Premium Outlets parking lot.

One follower asked him directly on social media: “Were you performing at XS in Las Vegas this weekend, lol?” They added, “I’m pretty sure that was you.” Desclos, who later deactivated his Instagram account, simply replied, “Yes.”

Gryffin is trying to see the bright side of this wild night. The whole event is still getting people talking. After sharing his Sin City story, the DJ told fans he has new music coming out soon.

“Btw, I have a new song called higher power,” he wrote. “Justin Bieber isn’t on it, but it’s good. I promise.”
