Juninho was suspended three games after a derby against Saint-Étienne

The Brazilian Juninho, sports director of Olympique de Lyon, was sanctioned this Wednesday with three suspension matches for his behavior after his team’s derby against Saint-Étienne on October 3, which ended with a 1-1 draw.

The French Professional Football League pointed out in a statement that its compliance will take effect on Tuesday, October 19, but specified that the sanction on two of those three games is exempt from compliance. According to the RMC Sport radio station, the discipline commission punished him for his behavior towards the referee of that match, François Lexetier, who in his final report it would have pointed out that he had an “attitude and words out of place” against him.

Juninho will be deprived of the game against Nice on October 24, but he will be able to be present in the one he will face Olympique de Lyon this Saturday against Monaco, added that radio in its digital edition. EFE
