Jungle Cruise: a sequel to enter development

Adapted from an attraction Disney, Jungle Cruise recorded a decent score at the box office where he cashed $ 186 million in revenue in the world. If its revenues related to the streaming platform Disney + have not yet been known, it would seem that this score, despite the huge budget invested (200 millions) was enough to convince Disney to launch a sequel. The Hollywood Reporter even reports that Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt should take over their respective roles as Frank Wolff and Dr Lily Houghton. Director Jaume Collet-Serra will still be at the helm of the second feature film while the screenwriter will remain Michael green.

Last month, Dwayne johnson had teased a meeting with the leaders of Disney to discuss a potential sequel but no information had been filtered. Responding to a fan’s praise, here’s what the 49-year-old comedian said:

” Thank you my friend! Glad you loved it Jungle Cruise. We have a follow-up meeting next weekend. “

Jungle Cruise had been put in premium access on Disney + from July 30, in the same way as Black widow. However, the entire cast has not been in solidarity with Scarlett johansson on the lawsuits that it has brought against the firm with big ears even if Emily blunt had considered doing the same. If we don’t have a release date for Jungle Cruise 2, the first feature film is still being shown in certain cinemas.
