Julie Chrisley isn’t letting whispers about her husband, Todd Chrisley, get to her. She’s standing firm, brushing off rumors that Todd might be gay.
“I know who I’m married to,” Julie, 52, said recently. Her comments came during the September 2 episode of their show, ‘The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.’ She added, “At the end of the day, it’s fine. You can think whatever you want of him because he knows who he is.”
The Lifetime documentary series has brought old accusations back into the spotlight. Producers reminded viewers about Mark Braddock, Todd’s former business partner. Braddock once claimed he had an affair with the ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ star.
Todd, 56, has always denied these claims. He kept doing so during a jail call shown on ‘The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.’ “It’s important to understand that in the position we’re in, scandal sells,” he explained. Todd pointed out that Braddock is the “only one” who has ever made such an accusation.
Todd’s daughter, Savannah Chrisley, also spoke about the accusations. She remembered the moment Braddock first made those claims. From the start, she didn’t pay much attention to the rumors.
“During the trial, Mark claimed he had a relationship with my father,” Savannah recounted. “We all said, ‘Are you kidding?’” She then mentioned their lawyer’s good point. “Where are the text messages? Where are the calls? Where are the letters? Where is anything? … I don’t believe it.”
Todd and Julie tied the knot way back in 1996. They share three children: Chase, 29, Savannah, 28, and Grayson, 19. Todd also has two older children from a previous relationship.
Another voice on the docuseries, Todd’s former assistant Tonya Claytor, also stepped up to defend the couple. She made it clear to fans that the two are very much in love.
“I’m very close to Todd,” Tonya said. “I’ve traveled with him. I’ve stayed at his house. I’ve had dinner with them. I spend a lot of time with their family. Todd loves Julie. He loves his wife. Todd loves women.”

Back in January 2023, Todd addressed Braddock’s claims head-on. He joked about the whole situation with Chase on his “Chrisley Confessions” podcast. The reality star strongly rejected any idea he was unfaithful to his wife.
“What has insulted me the most is that, after these 54 years, for me to finally be accused of being with a man, it was someone who looked like Mark Braddock,” Todd quipped. He described Braddock as “a toad. Someone who looks like a thumb. Someone who says he’s only had sex with his wife and me.”
Todd added with a laugh, “Let me tell you something. I would understand if you’d had sex with me, that could drive you crazy. I get it. Many people have been very affected by your dad.”
New episodes of ‘The Chrisleys: Back to Reality’ continue to air on Lifetime. You can catch them Tuesdays at 8 p.m., with the season finale set for September 16.
