With a debut film ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ in 1988, alongside Aamir Khan, Chawla had a successful filmography by the time of her marriage, working on more than 30 films. She had hit films like ‘Bol Radha Bol’, ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’ and ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’ to her credit.

Juhi has revealed that she got married at home, surrounded by just 80-90 close friends and family, despite initially planning a grand ceremony. According to Pinkvilla, her mother-in-law cancelled over 2000 wedding invitations.

Juhi credited her mother-in-law with supporting her by understanding her request for an intimate wedding, solving her concerns. "She convinced the family not to have a big wedding, and my wedding should take place at home, in the presence of only close friends and family," Juhi said.
