Juan Sebastián Molano wins the Denain Grand Prix

Juan Sebastián Molano was crowned champion of the Denain Grand Prix, a one-day race that takes place in the north of France, precisely in the Denain region. This competition has been won by cycling greats such as Jasper Philipsen, Mathieu van der Poel, Nacer Bohuanni, among others. This time the victory was for a Colombian.

Molano, who has been racing with UAE Team Emirates since the 2019 season, he won the sprint against Tim van Dijke from Jumbo-Visma and Timo Kielich from Alpecin-Deceuninck, second and third respectively. The arrival time exceeded 4 hours and a half (194.7 kilometers). The boyancese pitcher was the Danish Mikkel Bjerg.

This is Molano’s second victory in the 2023 season, on February 23, he won the fourth stage of the UAE Tour in Dubai. On that occasion he also defeated a Jumbo rider in the final sprint, the Dutchman Kooij Olav.

The great objective of the 28-year-old cyclist in this campaign is to stand out in La Vuelta a España which will run between the months of August and September. I would not be in the Giro d’Italia or in the Tour de France. Last year he took the last stage of the great Spanish race, he was victorious in Madrid.
