Journalist Eva Rodríguez de Sinc, awarded at the XII APAE Award for Agro-Food Journalism

This morning the winners of the XII Agro-Food Journalism Awards convened by the Association of Agro-Food Journalists of Spain (APAE) were announced. in the category of Agrifood Sustainability has been a winner Eva Rodrigues Nieto SINC journalist, for a report on How to reuse agro-industry residues in a sustainable way.

This piece addresses the main challenges and problems of the agricultural industry, which generates waste such as manure, which generates bad odors, pollution and an evident ecological impact. Likewise, it contemplates the solutions proposed by scientists to balance their environmental, economic and social aspects.

The awards consist of three other categories. The winner of the ‘General’ category was Maria Carrofor the article Wine changes the profile of Ponferrada published in the Diário de Leon. In the ‘Fruits and Vegetables’ category, the jury decided to award the prize to Natalie Streetauthor of the article Navacero culture, from oblivion to gastronomic stardom, published in Economist Agro. From this same vehicle, the winning work in the ‘Innovation’ category went to Robotrim: the robot arrives to prune the vineyardwritten by serene eve.

The prizes will be delivered next Wednesday, October 5th, after a conference on “Inflation in the fruit and vegetable sector”. which will take place during the Fruit Attraction fair (IFEMA, Madrid) at the Foro Innova space in Pavilion 8. The day will begin at 3:30 pm. The award ceremony starts at 4:30 pm.
