Josh Hazlewood to Join RCB for IPL Playoffs After Resuming Bowling Practice

Royal Challengers Bangalore just got a boost ahead of the IPL 2025 playoffs. Josh Hazlewood has started bowling practice and could join the team soon.

Hazlewood last played on April 27 against Delhi Capitals. He then missed the May 3 match against Chennai Super Kings due to a shoulder injury. His return to bowling practice is a sign that he’s close to making a comeback.

The Aussie pacer is currently in Australia with two RCB matches left before the playoffs – against SRH on May 23 and Lucknow Super Giants on May 27. Hazlewood is RCB’s top wicket-taker in IPL 2025 with 18 wickets. However, it’s unclear if he’ll be available for the playoffs.

RCB’s Winning Streak

Hazlewood’s potent bowling has been key to RCB’s playoff push. The team is unbeaten in its last five matches, including a washed-out game against KKR. Under Rajat Patidar’s captaincy, RCB is eyeing its first IPL title since 2016.

With Hazlewood’s possible return, RCB’s chances just got a lot brighter. The team will look to maintain its momentum and make a deep playoff run.

Upcoming Matches

  • May 23: RCB vs SRH
  • May 27: RCB vs Lucknow Super Giants

RCB fans are eagerly waiting to see if Hazlewood will be back in action for the playoffs. One thing’s for sure – his return would be a huge boost to the team’s title chances.
