Jorginho to Leave Arsenal as Flamengo Eyes Free Transfer in Summer Move

Jorginho’s time at Arsenal is coming to an end after two and a half seasons. The Italian midfielder won’t be renewing his contract with Mikel Arteta’s team and will leave at the end of the season.

New Chapter Ahead

Signed from Chelsea in 2023, Jorginho has played over 70 games for the London club. With his contract expiring in July, he’s now a free agent. Fabrizio Romano reports that Flamengo has shown interest in Jorginho and has already made a zero-transfer-fee offer.

Despite rumors, there’s no word on negotiations with Neom FC from Saudi Arabia, according to the same source. At 33, Jorginho has only played in two countries – England and Italy. Now that he’s leaving Arsenal, a move to a new country is on the cards. Brazil, where he was born, is a possible destination.
