Jorge Prado is back

Jorge Prado is back for the MXGP of Sardinia. The man from Lugo has recovered from the shoulder injury (dislocation) that he suffered three weeks ago while training in Italy and that caused him to miss the Maggiora appointment. “I am very happy with the evolution that the injury has followed, from the first moment I put myself in the hands of the best team of physios in Antwerp, who have done a fantastic job. I have noticed the strengthening of the shoulder day by day and at no time have I had discomfort”, explains the GasGas rider in a statement in a press release.

It will be necessary to see in what conditions Prado returns, who does not lose optimism and assures that there is still a lot of land ahead to recover points: “The World Cup is very long, we have not even reached the half of the championship yet and in this sport anything can happen”, he indicates. Gajser is the leader in the general standings, with 336 points, an 81 advantage over Renaux, 105 over Seewer and 116 over GasGas from Lugo, fourth in the World Championship.

And in Prado’s sights there is also the appointment of Madrid, on May 29, a test immediately after the one in Riola Sardo this weekend. “I am going to continue working these days to get to Madrid in good shape. I like that circuit and the atmosphere that is created with the stands full of fans is unique, so I want to repeat the successes of the last two years there because the fans deserve it”, concludes the Spaniard.
