Jonathan Joss, American actor, dies in Texas shooting incident

American actor Jonathan Joss, known for voicing the character John Redcorn in the animated series “King of the Hill,” died on Sunday in a shooting in Texas. He was 59.

San Antonio police responded to a report of a shooting on Dorsey Drive, where they found Joss unresponsive on the ground. Despite attempts to save him, Joss was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting and are investigating the circumstances surrounding Joss’ death.

Joss was also known for his role as Ken Hotate, the leader of the Wamapoke Native American tribe, in the TV series “Parks and Recreation.” He took over the voice role of John Redcorn in “King of the Hill” after the original voice actor, Victor Aaron, died in a car accident in 1996. Joss voiced the character for 11 seasons, until the show’s conclusion in 2009. He was set to reprise his role in the upcoming reboot of the series, scheduled to air on August 4.
