John Nogowski will come now to reinforce the whole of the Bulls

The Eastern Bulls announced the hiring of first baseman and outfielder John Nogowski, who will be from the beginning of the upcoming 2021-22 season.
 
Nogowski will be in his fourth season in the Dominican league, the first with the bullfighting uniform after wearing the yellow jacket of the Águilas Cibaeñas. In three seasons with the Cibaeña franchise, the Florida native has a .272 career average with a .362 OBP with 5 homers and 36 RBIs in 68 games. His best season was in 2019 when he hit .316/.413/.474 with 4 homers and 22 RBIs.

“We are very excited to be able to count on Nogowski, a player with high on-base ability, with extra-base power but above all capable of bringing runs to the plate,” said Raymond Abreu, general manager of the bullfights, about the slugger who has hit . 357 with runners in scoring position in the Dominican league.

In that 2022, the 29-year-old player has been in the minority circuits of the Braves and Nationals, standing out mostly with the Rochester Red Wings, a Washington AAA branch. On this team he is batting .291 with an impressive .404 on-base percentage, adding 11 doubles and 2 home runs with 23 RBIs in 43 games.

Combined across all circuits, Nogowski is hitting .247/.363/.362 with 8 homers and 54 RBIs.

In the Major Leagues he has seen action with the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates between 2020 and 2021.

Under Nogowski, the Bulls already have five imports announced so far, adding shortstop Addison Russell and pitchers Mike Fiers, Paolo Espino and Julio Tehrán, all with major league experience.

The Bulls opened their preseason training last Tuesday and expect the integration of important figures in the coming days, with a view to their preparation for the 2022-23 season, scheduled to start on October 15. On Opening Day the Bulls receive the Eastern Stars in the Corral.
