John Deaton: Supreme Court would let Ripple win

According to lawyer John Deaton, it is likely that Ripple will win its legal battle against the US financial regulator, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

John Deaton commented on Grayscale’s lawsuit against the SEC. But the lawyer also couldn’t resist giving his say on Ripple’s lawsuit against the SEC. Deaton said he expects Ripple Labs to win the lawsuit if heard by the US Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court will let Ripple win if it gets to that point

John Deaton, founder of Cryptolaw Media Outlet, has openly expressed his support for Ripple since the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit against the company. He is convinced that the US Supreme Court would let Ripple win if it got to that point. He wrote:

After the Supreme Court decision in West Virginia v. EPA, I have no doubt that the current composition of the US Supreme Court would allow Ripple to win if it got to that point. The SEC has not narrowed down its allegations to only apply to Ripple’s sale of XRP. It went too far.

The well-known Twitterer ‘Lark Davis’ also expressed his support for Ripple in the lawsuit against the SEC. Davis expressed optimism for Ripple’s victory in the legal battle. Despite that, regardless of the outcome of the lawsuit, he says he will not buy XRP tokens.
