Jofra Archer spotted with the Mumbai Indians player, find out the latest update on the ODI World Cup

England’s star speed bowler Joffra Archer is struggling with his elbow injury these days. With the 2023 World Cup drawing near, all eyes are on Archer. According to media reports, the England team will announce their provisional World Cup squad on August 15, with all eyes on Archer. Meanwhile, Archer performed with star batsman for the Mumbai Indians, Nehal Wadhera.

Archer was spotted out in London with Nehal Wadhera, the image of both of which is going viral on social media. Archer was only able to play five games in the 2023 IPL due to his elbow injury, after which he returned to England. In five IPL games, he was only able to take two wickets. On the other hand, England’s white-ball coach Matthew Mott said that he was willing to take a chance on Archer in view of the World Cup return.

Mott was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying, “There’s a good chance we’ll take a gamble when it comes to a proven Archer who’s made it onto the world stage.” We plan to make it available. Obviously a lot of things have to go their way and it’s going to be a tight schedule, but with players like that you give them every chance to show their fitness so we’re keeping an open mind.”

Significantly, Archer made a comeback after a long hiatus in 2023 through the ODI series against South Africa. He also demonstrated his foot fitness by recording six wickets in the series and bowling at a speed in excess of 90 mph. However, by the time of the 2023 IPL, his elbow injury had recovered again.
