Poland: US President Joe Biden has given Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin another title after a “war criminal.”
US President Joe Biden is visiting Poland. Today, he met with refugees fleeing the war between Russia and Ukraine.
A journalist asked President Joe Biden what he thought of his counterpart Vladimir Putin, to which the US president described him as a “butcher.”
A few days ago, President Joe Biden called the Russian president a “war criminal.” The US president told reporters that Putin was responsible for the attack on Ukraine, and that he considered him a war criminal because of the devastation in Ukraine.
White House spokeswoman Jane Sackie explained that what President Biden had said was the voice of his heart, and that it was his personal reaction to the devastation caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Russia has strongly condemned the US president’s statement, calling it “unacceptable and unforgivable.” A spokesman for the Russian president said in a statement that such a statement by any head of state was “unacceptable and unforgivable.”
