Jimmy Butler guides the Heat’s victory over the Raptors

Jimmy Butler scored 24 points, Max Strus added 20 off the bench and the Miami Heat beat the Toronto Raptors 112-109 on Saturday to end a two-game losing streak that started the season.

The teams meet again on Monday in Miami,

Miami’s Kyle Lowry had 17 points against his former team, Tyler Herro added 14 and Bam Adebayo had 10.

Pascal Siakam and Gary Trent Jr. each had 23 points for Toronto, which had 18 points and 11 rebounds from former Heat forward Precious Achiuwa.

The Heat watched as the Raptors cut their 24-point lead to six early in the fourth quarter. Toronto went on a hot streak after a brawl — which went to the front row of seats — that apparently inspired the Raptors.

Toronto’s Christian Koloko and Miami’s Caleb Martin were ejected with 7:46 left in the third quarter. They both lunged for a rebound on Siakam’s failed three-point attempt, Martin being fouled. Koloko ended up sprawled on the ground and Martin lunged at him as the Raptors rookie scrambled to his feet.

Miami was up 81-59 at the time and the Raptors outscored the Heat 17-2 in the next 5:11, but it wasn’t enough.
