Jeremy Allen White recently made headlines, not for his cooking skills on The Bear, but for his candid words about his ex-girlfriend, Rosalía. More than a year after their romance cooled off, White had some incredibly sweet things to say about the Spanish singer.
During a red carpet chat with Spain’s Los 40 radio station, White, 34, was asked to pick his favorite Spanish musical artist. He didn’t miss a beat. Without hesitation, he named Rosalía. "Rosa, Rosalía, I love her very much, she is wonderful," White shared. He then added, "She is flamenco." When pressed for other names, he simply said, "Otherwise, no, nothing comes to mind, not right now." This interview clip hit social media on Tuesday, October 7.
White and Rosalía, 33, first sparked rumors of a relationship in late 2023. Paparazzi caught them together many times, fueling speculation. Reports from Us Weekly in November 2023 suggested their connection was growing. A source told the outlet, "Rosalía and Jeremy Allen White recently started dating. They started only as friends, but recently the relationship has become romantic."
Another source shared with Us Weekly in December 2023 that the pair clicked over "music, art, and culture." The insider added that Rosalía saw a compassionate side to him. At that time, they were just enjoying each other’s company.
However, things shifted by October 2024. It seemed their journey together had ended. White was spotted kissing his The Bear co-star Molly Gordon just the month before, in September. An insider told Us Weekly that the relationship between White and Rosalía Vila Tobella, as she’s fully known, had "started cooling off in recent months."
The decision to part ways was mutual, according to the source. They confirmed, "They are not friends, but they hold no grudges." It sounds like a remarkably mature split.
Molly Gordon, 29, hasn’t officially confirmed a relationship with White. Still, she addressed the fan frenzy around those kissing photos in a recent chat with Vanity Fair. "With the internet, I simply think — I even see it in myself as a fan of certain things — that we are a more judgmental society," she said in July.
Gordon joined The Bear in its second season, playing Claire, White’s character Carmy’s love interest. She spoke to Glamour in July 2023 about her first day filming with White. "Our first day of filming together was the refrigerator scene," Gordon recalled. "The first time I met him, I felt that excitement of meeting an actor whom you admire, but I also felt that I had known him my whole life."
She praised White’s approachability. "He is such a generous and accessible person," Gordon explained, "whereas many other actors you have to pull them out of their shells. He told me: ‘I’m in this with you.’ Immediately I felt that there was something really good there, and I felt safe in that dynamic. I suppose Chris [Storer, The Bear creator] knew it."
It’s clear that White holds his past relationships and professional connections with respect, offering kind words even after a breakup, while his co-star navigates the intense scrutiny of fame.
