Jennifer Lopez recently got her fans talking with a new photo. She posted a picture where she wore a delicate gold necklace. Many people quickly thought it spelled out "Bennifer," a special nickname for her past relationship with Ben Affleck, her former husband.
The singer, who is 56, made social media users look twice at her nameplate necklace. She shared a portrait on her Instagram on Sunday, September 28. In the picture, J.Lo wore a somewhat see-through lavender knit sweater. Her hair was styled in big, loose waves, and her makeup was quite glamorous. She had tagged her location as New York in the post.
Fans immediately started commenting. "Does her necklace say BENNIFER?" one person asked under her post. Another added, "Does her necklace say Bennifer? Or do I need glasses 👓? Either way, she looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥." A third fan simply wrote, "Are we not talking about her necklace?" One person admitted, "I went to the comments just for this… lol." A fifth fan noticed, "That was the first thing I noticed!"
However, sharp-eyed fashion fans were quick to clear things up about the "Bennifer" necklace. They pointed out that if you flip the photo, which was taken in a mirror, the necklace actually spells "Jennifer."
Reports from Us Weekly previously stated that Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, who is 53, in August 2024. She listed April 26 as their separation date. She said the reason for their split was "irreconcilable differences." The couple finalized their divorce quickly, just 20 weeks later, in January 2025.

The former couple got married in Las Vegas on July 17, 2022. They later had a second wedding ceremony in Georgia. This reunion came after they rekindled their love in 2021. It was almost two decades after their first engagement. They had planned to marry in September 2003, but they eventually called off that wedding. Their first split happened in January 2004.
Looking back, Lopez recently spoke to CBS Sunday Morning in an interview that aired on Sunday. She called her 2024 breakup with Affleck "the best thing that ever happened to me." The actress talked about ending her relationship with Affleck while promoting her upcoming musical film, Kiss of the Spider Woman. Affleck actually co-produced this movie.
"It was tough. It was a really difficult time," she said about filming during her heartbreak. "It was hard not to think about all of it. It was the best and worst of times, in a way." She continued, "Every moment on set, every moment I played this role, I was so happy, and then at home, it wasn’t like that." She wondered, "How can I reconcile this? But you get through it." Lopez added, "Honestly, I have to say it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Because it changed me… it helped me grow as I needed to grow. To be more aware of myself. I think I am a different person now than last year."
Lopez shared that her breakup with Affleck reminded her to focus on the good things in life. She learned to find the bright side, even when things are hard. "Joy is in living these moments and embracing life and everything it gives you, for the lessons it brings you and for all the triumphs it brings you," she explained. "And the difficult moments are the lessons, and you have to understand that."
