Jeffrey Epstein allegedly hinted that he could reveal the extramarital affair between the multi-billionaire and a Russian bridge player, reports the wall street journalciting sources familiar with the matter.
An email to read between the lines
The latter referred to an e-mail in which Jeffrey Epstein asked Bill Gates to reimburse him for the cost of computer coding lessons that he himself had paid for the young woman. The financier found hanged in his prison cell in New York (United States) in 2019 had met the bridge specialist in 2013. Bill Gates had met the young woman three years earlier.
She was then in her twenties. The contacts between Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Gates had been the subject of strong criticism towards the latter after the accusations concerning the sex criminal had started to emerge. “Mr. Gates only met (Jeffrey) Epstein for charitable reasons,” said a spokesperson for the man who divorced Melinda Gates in 2021.
The representative added that Jeffrey Epstein had “unsuccessfully tried to use a past relationship to threaten Mr. Gates”. The latter would have taken place while Bill Gates was still married. The bridge player for her part refused to confirm or deny the existence of this relationship. On the other hand, she assured that she did not know who Jeffrey Epstein was when she met him. “I am disgusted with Epstein and what he has done,” she commented.
