The emotion was lively at the kind of the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in Paris, Friday, September 10, to pay a last tribute to Jean-Paul Belmondo. A portrait of the actor preceded his coffin. On the square, the sadness of his clan was palpable. Paul, the actor’s son, his wife and their three children, as well as Stella, the actor’s last daughter, were in attendance. The intimate ceremony lasted two hours. Alain Delon was indeed there, facing the crowd. This moving presence marked the ceremony.

Outside, the crowd applauded. Hundreds of people, gathered behind barriers, came to share this immense mourning. “I’m here to tell him that I love him and that he will always be with us”, testifies a passerby. On leaving the church, the hearse took away the body of the Magnificent. Jean-Paul Belmondo left the stage for the last time.
