When asked about his experience of struggling in Mumbai, Ahlawat said, “I don’t consider it a struggle. I had a roof over my head, food to eat, and a chance to pursue my dreams. The real struggle is when you don’t have basic necessities like food and shelter.”
The actor’s big break came with the film “Aakrosh,” and he recalls being thrilled to receive the signing amount. He had even forgotten that he could take an auto-rickshaw and ended up walking halfway home, thinking about how he would utilize the money.
Ahlawat’s performance in “Paatal Lok” earned him widespread acclaim, and he received praise from industry stalwarts like Manoj Bajpayee. The actor revealed that he was overwhelmed by the response and had even cried after speaking to Bajpayee.
When asked about his life’s journey, Ahlawat said that he has never felt empty or unfulfilled. He believes that struggles and challenges are a part of life, and one should always be prepared to face them. The actor also expressed his desire to work in a film with superstar Dharmendra, which is finally happening with the upcoming movie “Ikkis.”
In a rapid-fire round, Ahlawat shared some interesting facts about himself. He revealed that the first film he watched in a theater was “Pyar Ka Mandir,” starring Mithun Chakraborty. He also expressed his love for street food from Haryana, particularly “bajre ki roti” with butter and chutney. Ahlawat joked that he is not immune to his wife’s scolding, saying, “Who is Jaideep Ahlawat in front of his wife?”
The actor has several projects lined up for release in 2025, including “Ikkis,” “Hisaab,” and “The Family Man 3.” With his unique blend of talent and humility, Jaideep Ahlawat continues to win hearts and inspire aspiring actors.
