Jaya Ahsan at Buet to watch the movie

Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) Film Society started Chaltarang Cine Week for 5 days. Yuvraj Shamim’s film ‘Adim’ was screened at the festival on Monday evening. Actress Jaya Ahsan appeared to watch this movie.

In a reaction after watching the film, Jaya said, “I was thinking of watching Adiim Dekhbo Dekhbo for a long time, but it didn’t happen due to busy schedule.”

I came to see the film after hearing about the show in Buet. When I was watching Adim while sitting with the audience, I was forced to leave everything and see only the picture. A wonderful trip. I saw an honest movie after a long time!

Jaya said to the audience, “Such a wonderful film has been made in our country, it is our pride.

Viewers should stay with such films. Viewers will become more mature if they see primitives.”

Yuvraj Shamim, the maker of the film, expressed his excitement at the ‘primitive’ show while sitting with the general audience. He said, Jaya Appa’s presence in BUET impressed me greatly.

Earlier, Jaya Apa was saying that she will watch the film if it is shown again in Dhaka. But no hesitation, then I took Jaya Apa’s word for word. Because he has many preoccupations of his own. Jaya Apa appeared just 15 minutes before the film exhibition yesterday! I am really impressed with his sincerity!

There is another show of ‘Adim’ at Buet Auditorium on Wednesday (July 12) at 7.10pm. ‘Adim’ was released in theaters on May 26.

In the meantime, initiatives have been taken to show the film in an alternative system across the country. After Eid, the film was shown in Nageshwari, Kurigram for two consecutive days

The shooting of ‘Adeem’ took place in Tongir Bank Mat Basti. The story of the movie is also based on the slums. Its characters also live in slums. The crowd-funded film is produced under the banner of the maker’s own production house Rasayan, with Cinemakar and Lotus Films as co-producers.

Apart from Badsha as Langra, Dulal, Sohagi, Sadek etc. have acted in various roles of Adim. The film was shot by Aamir Hamza. Sound and color by Sujan Mahmud. The film is dedicated to late filmmaker Russell Ahmed.
