It’s always a treat to see a director remember their roots, especially when they’ve recently delivered a blockbuster. Atlee, the mastermind behind Shah Rukh Khan’s smash hit “Jawan,” just took a sweet trip down memory lane. He celebrated 12 years since his very first movie, “Raja Rani,” with his wife, Priya.
The couple marked this special anniversary in a truly personal way. On Saturday, Atlee shared a heartwarming post on Instagram. He and Priya revisited a church where some of “Raja Rani’s” scenes were filmed. They snapped several pictures at this special spot, sharing them with fans. It was a lovely tribute to where it all began.
Atlee’s post shared his gratitude, saying, “‘Raja Rani’ completes 12 years. God is very kind.” He also gave a sweet shout-out to his wife. He wrote, “I took my Rani (Priya) to the same spot where I started the film.” The post quickly gained traction, racking up 90,000 likes. It shows how much fans appreciate his journey.
Actress Nayanthara, who starred in “Raja Rani,” also joined the celebration. She re-shared Atlee’s post on her own page. Nayanthara added a heartfelt message, telling him, “So proud of you, Atlee.” It’s clear there’s still a lot of love for his debut work.
What’s Next for Atlee?
While he’s looking back fondly, Atlee is also looking ahead. He’s currently busy with his upcoming film, tentatively titled “AA22xA6.” This exciting project will feature Allu Arjun in the main role. Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is set to play the lead actress. A large part of the film’s shooting is already finished. It seems Atlee is ready to create another cinematic milestone.
