Jasprit Bumrah’s England Test Series Participation Uncertain

The Indian cricket team is gearing up for a tough 5-test match series against England. Without Rohit Sharma and R. Ashwin, the team will face challenges in both batting and bowling. New captain Shubhman Gill and coach Gautam Gambhir have their work cut out.

A big question for Team India is who will replace Rohit Sharma as a batsman. Will Abhimanyu Easwaran get a chance as an opener, or Karun Nair in the middle order? Jasprit Bumrah might not play all five tests due to workload management.

Gautam Gambhir said in a press conference, “It’s not decided which four matches Bumrah will play, but Karun Nair has a good chance to make it to the playing eleven. He’s performed well in domestic cricket and for India A.” Gambhir thinks they’ve chosen enough bowlers, and they can win matches from any situation.

Gambhir also said, “It’s always tough to replace Bumrah, but this is a chance for someone to prove themselves. Players who are in form and have done well in domestic cricket will get a chance.” He’s impressed with Karun Nair, who has played domestic cricket and scored a double century against England Lions for India A.

After Gambhir’s statement, it seems likely that Karun Nair will get a good chance in the England test series. When asked about Shreyas Iyer, Gambhir said, “Selecting the team is the job of the selectors, and the chief selector has already answered that question. I always keep an eye on players who are in form.” The 5-test match series between India and England starts on June 20.
