The Indian cricket team and its fans have received some disappointing news. According to reports, star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will not participate in the three-match ODI series against England, which starts on February 6. Bumrah was initially selected for the team for the third ODI of this series.
Jasprit Bumrah’s injury, which he sustained during the fifth Test against Australia, made it challenging for him to play in the first two ODI matches against England. Although it was believed that he would recover in time for the last ODI, the latest update indicates that Bumrah will not play in any of the three ODIs against England.
There are also concerns about Bumrah’s potential participation in the 2025 Champions Trophy. A recent report stated that Bumrah is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, where he will undergo a fitness test under the supervision of the medical team.
According to a report, Jasprit Bumrah will be under the supervision of NCA specialists for 2-3 days. After a thorough investigation, a report will be sent to the selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar.
The Indian team has only one week to decide whether to keep Jasprit Bumrah in the Champions Trophy squad. The ICC deadline for teams to make changes to their squads is February 12, leaving Team India with a limited time to make a decision about Bumrah’s participation.
