The Barça coach, Sarunas Jasikevicius, assured that the Argentine Nico Laprovitttola “has been the best” in Barcelona’s victory this Saturday against Joventut Badalona (87-71) despite having scored only 5 points. “During most of the game he has been with 3 points, but Laprovittola has been the best of the game. He was doing a lot of damage, reading the situations right on defending him. I loved it”, stated the Lithuanian coach from the press room at the Palau Blaugrana.
Jasikevicius praised the performance of his players: “We must be very happy. I really liked the team today, they played a very good intensity, knowing what we want to do. It’s a pity that in the first part we didn’t get involved. We could have taken a more important advantage, because we were very good”.
“Our goals are focused on the Euroleague. The illusion for the boys is to get the field advantage and prepare for the rival that comes. We’re fine, but there’s no need to relax. The team that improves the most between now and the end of the season will be the favorite in the Euroleague and the ACB”, he added.
Jasikevicius highlighted the performance of Sertac Sanli and Tomas Satoransky: “Sanli is on your line. He is always very solid and wants to help, but when he doesn’t score he doesn’t seem to play well. It’s a bit of a difference. And Satoransky hopefully doesn’t stop. He is more comfortable in the sevenme and in the team. It’s very important”.
“We have an experienced team, most of them over 30 years old. In veterans, the most important thing is always physical preparation, that they are ready, because they have already seen everything.
