Asahi Breweries, the well-known Japanese drink maker, has started brewing beer again. Six of its factories are now back online. This came after a major cyberattack. The attack forced the company to stop making beer for a short time.
Last week, the parent company, Asahi Group, faced serious digital trouble. A cyberattack messed up its IT systems. This caused big problems across many parts of its business in Japan. Order processing, shipping, and even phone services all stopped working.
The good news is that production lines at Asahi Breweries began running again on October 2nd. However, the company hasn’t shared when it expects to be at full brewing capacity.
Right now, Asahi has restarted making its popular Super Dry beer. They also plan to get other product deliveries moving again by October 15th. It’s a careful step-by-step return to normal.
