Janhvi Kapoor Slams Men Mocking Girls Mood Swings During Periods in Strong Statement

Janhvi Kapoor is speaking out against men who dismiss period pain. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times’ lifestyle vertical HautoFly, she shared her thoughts on how some men trivialize the issue. “If I’m trying to argue or make my point and you say, ‘Is it your period time?’ But if you’re really showing empathy, you should pause for a moment,” she said.

Janhvi believes that when women are on their period, they feel real pain. She thinks this is because of hormonal changes. “Most of the time, you need a minute because our hormones are all over the place, and the pain we go through is really tough,” Janhvi explained.

A different perspective

Janhvi also commented on how some men view periods. “There’s this weird way they look at you and talk to you… I can assure you, men wouldn’t be able to handle this pain and mood swings for even a minute,” she said with a laugh. “Who knows what kind of chaos would ensue if men got periods?”

Her comments have gone viral online.

Janhvi has had a busy year with three films released in 2024 – Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, Uljhan, and Devara: Part 1. She’s now filming Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsidai. In 2025, she’ll star in Parom Sundari. Janhvi is also set to return to Telugu cinema with Peddi, alongside Ram Charan, Shiv Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu. The film is scheduled for release on March 27, 2026.
