Jan Bednarek’s Communicative FC Porto Training Debut

FC Porto saw a new face join their ranks this week, and he wasted no time making an impression. Jan Bednarek, the Polish defender, hit the training pitch at Olival yesterday. His arrival as a new signing had only become official on Monday night.

The 29-year-old Pole quickly got to work. He spent some time on specific drills, showing his dedication. The club even shared his efforts across their social media channels. But he wasn’t just working alone. Bednarek jumped right into group exercises too. In one training photo, he was already seen trying to disrupt Rodrigo Mora’s ball handling. Before all the drills, the center-back went through a typical FC Porto tradition: the “tunnel of necks.” This ritual usually marks a player’s debut or a special moment for the Dragons. Bednarek showed great sportsmanship with his new teammates during this welcome. In fact, sources gathered by Record noted that Bednarek truly shined in his first outing. Fitting in can be tough for new players, but he looked completely at ease. He was very talkative, not just during the exercises but even during breaks.

The defender, also 29, signed a contract that will keep him with the club for four seasons. It includes a release clause set at 60 million euros. Depending on what coach Farioli decides, Bednarek could even feature in today’s match against Famalicão. For now, he rounds out the current group of center-backs, joining Nehuén Pérez, Prpic, Zé Pedro, and Gabriel Brás.
