Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor congratulates Umran Malik on joining India team

Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Governor Manoj Sinha, political parties and leaders on Sunday congratulated pacemaker Umran Malik on his selection in the Indian team for the five-match T20I series against South Africa starting June 9. Umran has done wonders in IPL 2022. He bowled dangerously in many matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad. For this reason he was included in Team India.

The Lieutenant Governor tweeted: “Honest congratulations to Umran Malik on his selection in the Indian team for the T20 series against South Africa. It is a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir. Congratulating Malik, former Chief Minister and Vice President of the National Conference, Omar Abdullah , said he would watch the series with enthusiasm, writing on Twitter: “Great Umran Malik. We will closely follow the upcoming T20 series against Proteas (South Africa).”

The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said that Malik is an inspiration to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. The match said from the official Twitter handle: “Congratulations to Umran Malik for being included in India’s 18-man T20 International squad. Despite so many obstacles, Malik has carved out a place for himself at the highest level. It is an inspiration to this generation of young people at J&K.

People’s Conference Chairman Sajjad Lone said: “That day has come. Umran Malik made it to the Indian cricket team. Very few people from Jammu and Kashmir have made it to the team. Congratulations. Best wishes.”

Umran Malik has taken 21 wickets in 13 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL. His ability to consistently throw at speeds in excess of 95 mph (over 150 kph) impressed everyone and there was a demand for his inclusion in the national team.
