Jamie Lever Opens Up About Body Shaming And Makeup Artist’s Hurtful Comment

Jamie Lever, daughter of comedy legend Johnny Lever, has been in the spotlight for her own talents. But it hasn’t been easy. She’s faced criticism about her looks, including comments about her nose being too big.

During a photoshoot, a makeup artist even suggested that her nose needed to be “cut” – a harsh comment that stuck with her. Jamie’s also talked about struggling with her weight, particularly as a child, and being diagnosed with PCOS. She was told that her curves, especially her hips, were something to be ashamed of.

To hide her lower body, Jamie would wear long t-shirts and kurtas. It took her years to realize that her curves are beautiful and that people actually admire them. She credits the Kardashians for making curves famous and helping shift the beauty standards. Now, Jamie’s more confident in her own skin.

She’s spoken about these struggles on TV actress Chhavi Mittal’s podcast, sharing how she’s dealt with people’s judgments and criticism over the years. It’s a story that many can relate to – the struggle to accept and love oneself, despite what others say.
