About Vinod Khanna
Vinod Khanna began his career in Hindi cinema way back in 1968. He first appeared in smaller parts, often taking on villain roles. Fans saw him play these memorable negative characters in films like ‘Mere Apne’, ‘Mera Gaon Mera Desh’, and ‘Achanak’. However, his immense talent soon pushed him towards lead roles.
The 1970s marked his true rise to superstardom. He delivered several blockbuster hits during this period, including ‘Haath Ki Safai’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’, and ‘Qurbani’. After taking a five-year break from acting, he made a strong comeback in 1987 with the film ‘Insaaf’. Later in his career, he earned much praise for his fatherly roles in the popular ‘Wanted’ and ‘Dabangg’ film series. Vinod Khanna sadly passed away on April 27, 2017.
