J.Lo’s Twins Max, Emme Make Rare Red Carpet Appearance at ‘Spider Woman’ Premiere

Jennifer Lopez turned the premiere of her new film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, into a true family affair. The "Jenny From the Block" singer, 56, stepped onto the New York City red carpet on Monday, October 6, with her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme. It was a rare public outing for the teenagers, adding a special touch to the night.

J.Lo truly owned the spotlight. She wore a stunning green floral dress, off-the-shoulder, that featured a unique spider-like design around her head and waist. Fashion designer Harris Reed created the eye-catching look. Emme, meanwhile, chose a stylish red velvet jacket, paired with a black satin shirt and black pants. Max matched his twin’s fashion sense with a multi-toned jacket, mixing brown, navy, and beige, worn over a crimson vest, a white t-shirt, and khaki pants.

Lopez, who shares Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, flashed a big smile. She posed proudly with her children, gently resting a hand on Max’s shoulder as Emme stood between them. It was a true family portrait.

Fans rarely get to see the Hustlers star’s two children join her at such high-profile events. Emme has stepped out more often lately. In March, she attended the Broadway opening of Othello with Lopez. Then in April, she saw George Clooney’s Broadway debut at the premiere of Good Night, and Good Luck. Max typically keeps a lower profile. Still, both twins have made appearances on their mom’s Instagram from time to time.

The movie premiere also brought another notable moment: a rare public reunion for J.Lo and her ex-husband, Ben Affleck. Their divorce became final in February. The former couple smiled and laughed together while posing for pictures. Affleck, 53, wore a classic blue suit and a white collared shirt. They were even spotted chatting warmly before heading into the screening. Lopez stars in Kiss of the Spider Woman. Affleck’s production company, Artists Equity, produced the film.

Just hours before the premiere, Lopez opened up about her twins preparing for their next big life chapter. She sounded a mix of excited and reflective. The Atlas star told Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday, "It’s crazy. We’re visiting universities today, between doing this [press] and the premiere, today we’re visiting a university." She added, "It’s happening — they’re leaving, they’re leaving and it’s crazy!"

Lopez also shared her mixed feelings about her children soon leaving home. She explained, "I’m happy because I feel like I remember how exciting that time of my life was, like, ‘Oh, I’m figuring out what I want to do with my life.’" She continued, "It’s an exciting adventure, I want that for them. But I also think, ‘Oh! I’m going to be alone!’"

Lopez and host Kelly Ripa, who shares her children Michael, 28, Lola, 24, and Joaquín, 22, with husband and co-host Mark Consuelos, agreed. They both acknowledged that being empty-nesters has its good parts. Lopez went on, "But it’s also always about creating a home they want to come back to, right? That was the goal for me since they were born." She added, "Whatever this is, what the three of us create together, it’s going to be something that always makes them think: ‘When I come home, it feels good. It smells like home, it tastes like home.’ All that. And I’ve always focused on that with them. And I feel like we’ve created it."

Lopez also pointed out that she has built a very close relationship with her children. She shared, "I feel like we are close. Now we are three very close. A lot has happened with us. … That changed things and made it really beautiful for us."
