Itsuno’s LightSpeed Japan Studios Hires Ex-Capcom Devil May Cry, Street Fighter Veterans

A new game development studio is quickly grabbing attention. It’s a fresh start for Hideaki Itsuno, the well-known director behind hit titles like Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma. After leaving Capcom, Itsuno is now leading his own team. Even better, he’s bringing back some familiar faces from his old studio. It looks like a dream team is forming.

This new outfit, called LightSpeed Japan Studios, just made a big announcement. The studio, with Itsuno at the helm, is welcoming three experienced members from Capcom. Their addition was shared through a public statement here. These veterans bring a lot of talent and history to the table.

One of the new hires is Bingo Morihashi. He used to be a lead writer at Capcom. Morihashi worked closely with Itsuno on both Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma. Joining him are two skilled artists, Gouda Cheese, also known as Bengus, and Daigo Ikeno. These two have a long and impressive history at Capcom, with their art appearing in classic games like Street Fighter and Darkstalker.
