Italy Falls to Norway 0-3 in World Cup Qualifier

Gianluigi Donnarumma was left scratching his head after Italy’s shocking 0-3 loss to Norway. “I don’t get what happened,” he said. “We’re Italy, we can’t play like this.” The goalkeeper, who won the European Championship with PSG just last week, didn’t hold back.

This loss was tough to swallow. “Our fans don’t deserve games like this,” Donnarumma said. “We need to talk, figure out what’s going on.” He didn’t point fingers at teammates, instead saying they all share the blame. “We need to own up to our mistakes, stick together, and move forward as a team.”

Coach Luciano Spalletti was diplomatic, but clearly disappointed. “We could’ve prevented that first goal,” he said. “After 0-2, it was hard to create chances. We’re missing players who can make a difference one-on-one.” Despite the tough loss, Spalletti vowed to stay on as coach. “I’ll always lead this group,” he said. “We have a lot to work on, but I’m committed to these players.”
